Downloading Datacom z/OS product solutions

Issue/Introduction

This article explains how to find and download z/OS solutions for the different components of the Datacom product family through the Broadcom support portal.

Resolution

1. Login to Broadcom Support
2. Select Software/Mainframe Software 
3. Click on My Downloads 
4. In the Search Product Name box, enter Datacom and hit <enter> or click the Show Results button
5. Click on the desired Datacom product tile. For example, select Datacom to see solutions for individual Datacom/DB components or for the Datacom Database Option for CICS Services MVS.
6. Click on the Solutions tab
7. Click on the desired product component, then click the link for the desired version
8. To further filter the solution listing, select more specific components in the Select Components dropdown. Likewise, you can filter on the release level, Operating System, or on the publication date (all filtered solutions that were published on or after this date). The listing will be updated dynamically.
9. Select the desired PTFs and then download them individually or by adding them to a download Cart.

Additional Information

The items listed in the display are the official Datacom product and component names. Here are some of the more familiar names in use (there may be others):

• Datacom VSAM Transparency: VSAM/T, DBVT, or VT.
• Datacom Database Option for CICS Services: DBC, CSF, or CICS Service Facility.
• Datacom Database Datadictionary Option: DD, DDOL, Dictionary, or Datadict.
• Datacom Database SQL Option: DBSQL, or SQL.
• Dataquery for Datacom with MFL: DQ, or Dataquery.
