“Unexpected token END OF FILE at position 0” installing new PAM license.

Issue/Introduction

When trying to install a new license on a PAM Appliance, the following error message occurs:

"Unexpected token END OF FILE at position 0”

Environment

Privileged Access Manager, all versions

Cause

This error will occur either when the license file is corrupted or the new license files do not contain the same features the old license had.

Resolution

Please open a new case to request a new set of licenses, providing the sysinfo files from both appliances and a screenshot of the 'Current License' tab in the 'Configuration / Licensing' pane in the PAM Client:
