Manually hide/unhide the Software Delivery Options sidebar on the Altiris Agent

Issue/Introduction

In the Altiris Agent's Software Delivery tab, the Option sidebar is not showing up or showing up. Is there a way to force it to show or not to show?

Resolution

You can hide/unhide the 'Options' sidebar in the Windows Registry as shown here:

1. Run regedit on the desired machine
2. Find the key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Altiris\Altiris Agent\Software Delivery
3. Edit the 'ShowOptions' DWORD and change the value to 1 (to unhide) or to 0 (to hide).
4. Close the Altiris Agent's Software Delivery window, and reopen it.  The Agent does not need to be restarted.

You can hide/unhide the 'Options' sidebar when deploying the Altiris Agent by:

1. Set an additional parameter (there's a box called "Additional Parameters") on the Altiris Agent installation settings:
    a) Under SMP Console, go to Settings>All Settings>Agents/Plug-ins>Symantec Management Agent
    b) under Symantec Management Agent>Settings>Agent Install, click in 'Default Settings' button and under "Additional Parameters" add the following command line:

        ShowOptions=0
