You need to reset a lost or forgotten admin password for Symantec Messaging Gateway (SMG).
In the SMG Control Center, attempt to log in.
Click the "Forgot your password?" link following the failed login attempt.
Enter the username of the admin account you wish to recover.
An email with a one-time link will be sent to the email address associated with the account, which allows the account holder to change their password.
Note: The password recovery requires that the administrator account is configured with a valid, deliverable email address.
