How to add an Administrator to a Symantec VIP Manager tenant

Issue/Introduction

Manually adding a VIP Administrator to the Symantec VIP Manager tenant for direct access. 

Cause

The VIP Enterprise Gateway can be used to automatically sync administrators with the VIP Cloud. In situations where this is not possible, administrators can be manually added through VIP Manager. 

Resolution

• A VIP administrator with permissions to create new administrators can log into VIP Manager through your company's SSO portal, or (if permitted) directly to manager.vip.symantec.com/vipmgr/signin.v
  
  
   
• Click the Account tab in the menu
  
   
• Select Create VIP Administrators from the Links menu on the right-hand menu.
   
• Fill in First Name, Last Name, Email Address, then assign permissions. 
  
  
  
  The VIP administrator will be prompted to add a VIP Credential during initial login if one is not added here.
   
• Click Create Administrator. 
• The administrator is sent an e-mail with a temporary password to sign in. The temporary passcode is valid for 30 minutes.
