Add an Administrator via Symantec VIP Manager

Issue/Introduction

Manually add a VIP Administrator to the Symantec VIP Manager tenant for direct access. 

Cause

The VIP Enterprise Gateway can be used to automatically sync administrators with the VIP Cloud. In situations where this is not possible, administrators can be manually added through VIP Manager. 

Resolution

• Log into manager.vip.symantec.com/vipmgr/signin.v
  
  
   
• Click the Account tab in the menu
  
   
• Select Create VIP Administrators from the Links menu on the right-hand menu.
   
• Fill in First Name, Last Name, Email Address, then assign permissions. 
  
  
  
  Note: If a Credential ID is not added, the administrator will be asked to add one during the initial login. 
   
• Click the Create Administrator button. 
• The administrator is sent an e-mail with a temporary password to sign in. The temporary passcode is valid for 30 minutes. 
• The administrator can request a new temp password from https://manager.vip.symantec.com/vipmgr at any time as long as their status is Enabled.

Note: You can now manually add administrators to Administrator groups by Accessing the Account > Manage Administrator Groups.
