Issue/Introduction

The PGP Encryption Server (Symantec Encryption Management Server) Web Email Protection templates include an optional field called Company Name. However, if you populate the Company Name field it may not appear in the Web Email Protection home page.

Environment

Symantec Encryption Management Server 3.4 and above.

Resolution

The content of the Company Name field appears only in the Settings page of Web Email Protection.

Once an external user logs into their account and clicks on the Settings menu, they will see it.

If the Company Name field is not populated, the Settings page will show this:

  • Let me read all my messages securely on this Web site.
  • I have an OpenPGP Key or digital ID/certificate (X.509, S/MIME) that I want to use to secure messages I exchange with site.
  • I want to use the passphrase I just entered to receive messages from this site as passphrase protected PDF documents.

If the Company Name field is populated with Test Company Name, the Settings page will show this:

  • Let me read all my messages from Test Company Name securely on this Web site.
  • I have an OpenPGP Key or digital ID/certificate (X.509, S/MIME) that I want to use to secure messages I exchange with Test Company Name.
  • I want to use the passphrase I just entered to receive messages from Test Company Name as passphrase protected PDF documents.
