Issue/Introduction

This article lists the Opal v2-compliant drive whitelists for various versions of Symantec Endpoint Encryption. This article will be updated whenever a new whitelist is added for a new release of Symantec Endpoint Encryption.

Resolution

Opal v2-compliant drive whitelists are available for Symantec Endpoint Encryption, but it is highly recommended to use SEE Native Drive Encryption for many reasons. 

Opal is hardware only, and to update windows, you must decrypt. 

Recovery is more convenient with SEE Native Encryption.
