Issue/Introduction

When trying to access an IT Analytics report (any), the error "Errors in the metadata manager" occurs. Directly accessing reports on the Analysis Server or Reporting Server may work, however.

Errors in the metadata manager. An error occurred when loading the <CUBE_NAME> cube, from the file, '<PATH_TO_SQL_ANALYSIS_DB>\<FILE_NAME>.xml'

Cause

The Microsoft SQL Sever Analysis Database has become corrupted due to issues on the SQL Server, specifically, the specified corrupted or missing OLAP xml file.

Resolution

Manually delete all Analysis database files that are related to IT Analytics and then create a new Analysis database in IT Analytics. The following article describes how to do this:
