Issue/Introduction

VIP Enterprise Gateway end-of-support(EOS)/end-of-service announcement.

Resolution

The Symantec VIP team is continually working to improve software and services to best meet the needs of our customers. Earlier versions of Symantec VIP are no longer supported to allow them to focus resources on current and future releases of the product.  

To determine if the version of VIP Enterprise Gateway is supported, visit the Product Lifecycle page for VIP Service here. Type VIP Service in the Search Product Name field, then click Show Results. The End Of Service/End Of Life date is listed if that version is no longer supported. 

Organizations are encouraged to upgrade to the supported version of Symantec VIP Enterprise Gateway and other VIP integration components to take full advantage of the latest features and enhancements this release has to offer. Symantec VIP Technical Support will encourage you to upgrade your installation if it is no longer supported.

  • Allow a minimum of 15-30 minutes per server to perform the upgrade. Always perform upgrade testing on non-production servers.

Note: Extended Support gives your organization the flexibility to continue to use Broadcom Software products that reach End of Service (EOS) or End of Life (EOL), and still receive the support you need as you work toward upgrading to a GA version/product. Extended Support may only be purchased for the Customer’s entire EOS environment.
