Migrating ITMS database to Cloud based SQL service such as Azure SQL or AWD RDS service

Issue/Introduction

Does Broadcom support migrating Altiris to Azure or AWS RDS service?  

Is it supported to host the Altiris database on Azure SQL (https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/services/sql-database/) or AWS RDS? (https://aws.amazon.com/rds/)

Resolution

We have not done any testing on Azure SQL or AWS RDS services as of today.  So, we do not officially support it.  We don't have current plans for testing ITMS in Azure or AWS at this point.

The alternative that we do support is to put the full SQL Server and SMP server in the cloud.  See more information under 196289 "Implementing ITMS in the Cloud"
