Issue/Introduction

Deployment of CA Privileged Access Manager (PAM) in Amazon Web Services (AWS) requires a private Amazon Machine Image (AMI). This image is not available on the public AWS Marketplace and must be shared directly with your AWS account.

Resolution

The CA PAM AMI is provided to customers with active maintenance or an official Proof-of-Concept (PoC). To request access, open a case with Broadcom Support and provide the following details:

1. Company Name
2. Contact Name and Email
3. AWS Account ID (12-digit number)
4. AWS Region (e.g., us-east-1, us-west-1)
5. CA PAM Release Version (e.g., 4.3)
6. FIPS Requirements (Specify if FIPS or Non-FIPS is required)
7. Appliance Type (PAM Standard or PAM Utility Appliance)

Once the request is processed, the image is shared as a private image. To deploy:

1. Open the Amazon EC2 console.
2. Navigate to Images > AMIs.
3. Select Private images from the filter dropdown.
