Application Metering 7.0 - Temp files that now run into the thousands are being written into the windows temp directory. <P></P>TMP Event Files are being written to C:\WINDOWS\Temp\AeXAM<BR>No Altiris Agent is installed on the PC, nor dues the Altiris Agent directory exist.
Suspected failed or corrupted uninstallation of Application Metering plug-in 7.0 due to files being in use.
Process Explorer has been used to determine that the AMInit32.dll seems to be used by all Processes. <P><IMG border=0 alt="" src="https://api-broadcom-ca.wolkenservicedesk.com/es/attachments/get_attachment_content?uniqueFileId=625622584519"> <P></P>To resolve the issue, unregister the AMInit.dll and remove it from the file system. <P></P>After removing removing the DLL and rebooting search for all *.dll files in the C:\Windows directory. Turning on the Company Column in the search result window delete all files by Altiris. <P>After one more reboot delete the C:\Windows\temp\AeXAM directory.</P><br/><p><b>Applies To</b><br/>Application Metering 7.0. <P>Windows XP Pro Sp2 64 bit</P>
