Unable to use Windows 10 containers with SEE (Symantec Endpoint Encryption) 11.1.2 for BitLocker.
Here are the powershell commands to repro Windows 10 container issue with SEE installed.
Install Hyper-V and containers feature and reboot
Enable-WindowsOptionalFeature -Online -FeatureName Containers -All
Enable-WindowsOptionalFeature -Online -FeatureName Microsoft-Hyper-V -All
Install docker - Follow steps in the "Manual installation" section. If proxy is required to access internet, follow steps in the "Proxy configuration" section
Go to https://hub.docker.com and create a Docker account. Next login to docker on the desktop
docker login -u
Pull server core image and launch a container:
docker pull windowsservercore:latest
docker run -it windowsservercore:latest cmd
This will fail if SEE is installed. If SEE is uninstalled, container starts even if the volume is encrypted with BitLocker.
