After upgrade to Enterprise Gateway 9.4.1, LDAP Sync does not sync some users
This is a bug with VIP EG 9.4. With VIP EG 9.3, all users who logged in via SSP were tagged with a sync cluster name by design. After upgrading to 9.4, those users still retained the sync cluster name from before. Hence the LDAP Sync failed for these users.
These users must log in via the organizaion's SSP with EG 9.4. This wil tag the users with the updated sync cluster name. The next LDAP Sync with EG 9.4 will make the LDAP sync automatically update that user.
Note: Contact Symantec Support to obtain a tool to update users not sync'ed due to the sync cluster name issue after a 9.4 upgrade. Use this tool on the system where EG is installed. This tool uses the existing libraries of EG install. Running this tool will update the user records to appropriate values in the cloud. Subsequent running of LDAPsync will manage the users who are currently not being managed by LDAP Sync.
