After installing the Symantec Installation Manager (SIM), the product launches and immediately displays the following error:
You can review the log file created by Symantec Installation Manager by opening c:\Users\useridusedduringinstall\AppData\Local\Temp\SIM Logs\a.log.
Parsing proxy URI failed due to incorrect format.
Delete Registry key tree so SIM can re-create it with default value, then be sure to enter your proxy server with correct format.
HKLM\Software\Altiris\AIM \Configuration\Users\xxxxxxx\Proxy OR (if that doesn't help)
then relaunch Symantec Installation Manager
