Receiving a lot of spam mail via postmaster and abuse email account when the Email Security.cloud service is enabled.
By default, Symantec.cloud does not scan the postmaster and abuse email accounts for spam. RFC 2821 states that SMTP systems are expected not to block email to these email accounts. See section 4.5.1- Minimum implementation.
Based on these guidelines, Symantec.cloud does not fully scan emails to these addresses. This is because if a sender is being blocked from sending mail to your domain, the sender should still be able to contact the administrator via the postmaster account to request that the block be removed.If you would like these addresses to be scanned for spam, please contact the support team.
