'Send Change to Workflow' action is not available in Change Management Process Event rulesets.
Article ID: 158721
'Send Change to Workflow' action is not available in Change Management Process Event rulesets. It is available for Change Management Data Event rulesets and functionally similar 'Send Incident/Problem to Workflow' actions are available for respective Process Event rulesets.
'Send Change to Workflow' action was available in Servicedesk 7.5 MP1, making this a regression.
Pointfix that includes a fix for this issue (along with new automation ruleset at CAB voting) is available for download in TECH212326.
Steps to apply the fix:
Stop the IIS and Symantec Workflow Server service.
Copy both dll files from .zip to …\Program Files\Symantec\Workflow\Shared\customlib folder
Copy automation dll in the …\Program Files\Symantec\Workflow\ProcessManager\Plugins\Rules folder
Start the IIS and Symantec Workflow Server service.
Open up Process Manager Portal, go to Admin > Portal > Plugin Upload. Make sure that automation library is checked, and then select the new Symantec.ServiceDesk.Cm.Automation.dll file. Then click Upload. This will put the automation library to all the right places.
Go to Admin > Process Automation > Change Management > Service Dashboard. If it does not exist yet, create OnCabVoteCast Process Event ruleset.
Run SD.ChangeManagementSimple.Setup.exe and SD.ChangeManagementSimple.Voting.Setup.exe making sure that the Server Base URL is set to the Base URL used everywhere else for this ServiceDesk server.
