When attempting to delete a cloned policy a dependency report is generated that is blank. This prevents the policy from being deleted from the console.
No specific error. When the dependency report runs, it is blank.
When a Managed Software Delivery policy is cloned it can cause a redundancy loop.
First would be to identify the policy in the data base using this query:
DECLARE @Guid AS UNIQUEIDENTIFIER
SET @Guid = 'XXX' --Replace XXX with the guid of the item.
SELECT * FROM ItemReference
WHERE ParentItemGuid = @Guid
OR ChildItemGuid = @Guid
Take note of the ReferenceType. If the value is 1 then there will be difficulty deleting it from the console. In order to do so run the following query:
SET ReferenceType = 2
WHERE ReferenceType =1
AND ParentItemGuid = 'GUID'
After running this then the item should be able to be deleted from the console. If not then deleting it directly from the database would be the next step.
