Can LiveUpdate be manually launched on a Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1 client if it has been disabled within the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager?

Within the LiveUpdate Settings policy on the SEPM, the ability to "allow the user to manually launch LiveUpdate" has been disabled. The end user would like to manually launch LiveUpdate.

“Liveupdate has been disabled”

The LiveUpdate software that was utilized in SEP 11.x was shared by other Symantec Products. Disallowing LUALL.exe from ever running on the computer would lead to other Symantec products becoming out of date.

SEP 12.1.x utilizes its own proprietary version of LiveUpdate called LUE.

Unlike in Symantec Endpoint Protection 11.x, the end user cannot circumvent their LiveUpdate policy by launching LUALL.exe.

In Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1.x, using sepliveupdate.exe to manually launch LiveUpdate will fail when disabled by policy.
