SAV For Linux (SAVFL) appears to install correctly, but its rtvscand service, savtray and sav are not able to start. The service and the UI do not work.
When trying to start:
./sav from /opt/Symantec/symantec_antivirus/
./savtray from /opt/Symantec/symantec_antivirus/
The following message may be displayed:
"No such file or directory".
When you try to start:
./readelf sav from /opt/Symantec/symantec_antivirus/
./readelf savtray from /opt/Symantec/symantec_antivirus/
You will notice that ld-linux.so.2 is missing.
The system only has the x86_64 libs installed. It lacks the i686 libraries.
To resolve this, install the i686 libraries. On Red Hat:
rpm -ivh nss-softokn-freebl-3.12.9-3.el6.i686.rpm glibc-2.12-1.25.el6.i686.rpm
yum install libX11-1.3-2.el6.i686
yum install libgcc-4.4.5-6.el6.i686
rpm -ivh sav-1.0.11-19.i386.rpm savui-1.0.11-19.i386.rpm savjlu-1.0.11-19.i386.rpm savap-x64-1.0.11-19.x86_64.rpm
On UBUNTU 10.0.4 LTS 64bit:
apt-get install ia32-libs
