Finding computers using Client Deployment Wizard (CDW) in the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager (SEPM) Console generates an error stating "Unexpected console error. [ 0x80010000 ]". No results are returned.
Unexpected console error. [ 0x80010000 ]
This problem is caused by issues with the way SEPM processes Unmanaged Detector information. The error occurs when the range/subnet of IP addresses provided to the Client Deployment Wizard contains one or more addresses discovered by an Unmanaged Detector.
This problem is fixed in Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1 RU1 MP1 and newer. For information on how to obtain the latest build of Symantec Endpoint Protection, read Obtaining an upgrade or update for Symantec Endpoint Protection.
Note: The SEPM servers and all Unmanaged Detector clients need to be migrated to 12.1 RU1 MP1 or newer to ensure this issue does not occur.
To work around the issue without migrating, disable all Unmanaged Detectors until all SEPM servers and clients are migrated.
