Outbound mail messages are delayed in the Delivery queue on a Symantec Message Gateway versions 9.5 and above

LightSpeed Content filter is holding mail messages up in Delivery queue producing the verdict:
"554 5.7.0 manually failed"
Bypass the Lightspeed content filter and messages begin to exit the Delivery queue of the SMG appliance immediately.
Microsoft Exchange server 2003 is sending outbound messages to a Symantec Message Gateway (SMG) appliance. Environment also contains a Sonic NSA 4500 Firewall and a LightSpeed Content filter.
