Issue/Introduction

SEP  collector is unable to get logs from SEP Manager installed with SQL  database and DEBUG log shows Error "There are no properly working queries."

There are no properly working queries

Cause

In SEPM  version 11.0.6005.562 , database schema has been changed for the default database user, sem5. All tables and view are started with default  database user name, sem5,  instead of the previous dbo schema.  For example a table would be named something like sem5.V_ALERTS where as in previous versions of SEPM  the name would be dbo.V_ALERTS. The read only user which is created following the instructions in the collector pdf creates a  user with default schema as dbo

Resolution

To fix this issue login to SQL  server using SQL  management studio

  1. Expand Security--Logins

  2. Select the read only user that you have created and right click and go to properties

  3. Select "User Mapping"  and from right hand side change the Default Schema from dbo to sem5.

  4. Save the changes and restart the collector.

Applies To

SEPM version 11.0.6005.562  is installed using the MSSQL database and read only user is created following instructions in the collector guide.
