How can ADAM data be exported - for reporting as an example?
Description Details: This article provides information about tools available for extracting data to create reports using tools like Crystal Reports or SQL queries.
ADAM is not a relational database. It is a Directory so you would need to do LDAP queries instead of SQL queries. There are some LDAP-SQL bridge drivers that can be used
You may also export data from ADAM using one of the ADAM tools (ldife or csvde) which are automatically copied to your hard drive during the ADAM installation. The ldifde tool saves the output data into LDF format and the csvde tool saves output data into CSV format which can be imported into Excel or SQL.
Currently GuardianEdge does not plan to develop a tool to export data to SQL from ADAM.
