You are trying to create a compliance policy to detect attachments using wildcards such as:
The policy is not working as expected.
In some Messaging Gateway releases, wildcards are not valid when dealing with attachments, you must use the literal name for the attachment.
Example, if you are trying to detect the attachment files.exe you have to use under the field:
Condition: If the file metadata has the filename: files.exe
This issue has been addressed with the Symantec Messaging Gateway (SMG) version 10.0.0 release and later. Wildcard characters will now be interpreted as expected when processing attachment names.
