In order to resolve the issue , Please try the steps given below:

1) Create a new Group for such servers where you will be running SEP and CPS.

Uncheck "Scan when a file is backed up"
And assign this policy to the new Group.

3) (If Firewall is used/installed)Create a new Firewall Policy and Exclude the following processes from within Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager (Firewall Policy >> Rules >> Add a rule to allow an application):
(Change C:\ as needed depending on which root volume the Continuous Protection Server (CPS) or Continuous Management Server (CMS) or Continuous Protection Agent (CPA) is installed to)

- C:\Program Files\Symantec\Continuous Protection Server\CPSConsole.exe
- C:\Program Files\Symantec\Backup Exec\RAWS\beremote.exe
