Clients are failing to download packages.
In the log files, the following error occurs:
Description: The NS failed to refresh package snapshot. Could not access the package path. Package:<GUID>, Path:C:\Program Files\Altiris\Patch Management\Packages\Updates\<Update Folder>\<GUID>
Packages are still valid in the NS logically; however physically, the package contents have been removed.
Run the attached script to clean up these packages, and then Run the scheduled NS.Package.Refresh task or let it run on its schedule.
Three files will be downloaded (All three are included in the attached InvalidateMissingPackages.zip file).
The readme file walks through the install, but this can be circumvented:
When you place these items into the C:\Program Files\Altiris\Notification Server\bin, you can drag and drop the InvalidateMissingPackages.cs over the already existing NScript.exe.
This will execute the fix. The number or packages fixed will be displayed in the CMD window.
The NScript.nrf and Readme.txt are not utilized, but they need to accompany the .cs file into the bin folder.
