The password for an ESM Console account has been forgotten and needs to be reset.
A message indicating an incorrect password is presented when trying to login to the ESM console on a machine where a successful login of the same ID has been performed..
Currently, console passwords cannot be reset. Security for logging into the console is handled on the local machine and is part of the local console.
The first choice is to enter a new login ID, whereby the console will prompt for a new password for this new account and will open, allowing attachment to ESM managers given the correct ESM manager account IDs and passwords (which are part of the ESM manager's own security).
However the same account must be used to login to the console, then clear out the settings for the old login account (including the password) by doing the following:
