Symantec Endpoint Protection displays an old date for Proactive Threat Protection definitions
Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP) displays an old date for Proactive Threat Protection definitions.
Other definitions (Antivirus and Antispyware, Network Threat Protection) will be displayed as up-to-date.
The display of the date for Proactive Threat Protection (PTP) definitions is not updated until the first TruScan Proactive Threat Scan is run. By default the TruScan Proactive Threat Scan occurs once an hour. The scan frequency is configurable.
This problem is fixed in Symantec Endpoint Protection 11.0.2000.1567 Maintenance Release 2. For information on how to obtain the latest build of Symantec Endpoint Protection, read Obtaining an upgrade or update for Symantec Endpoint Protection 11.x or Symantec Network Access Control 11.x.
Check the SEP interface after the first TruScan Proactive Threat Scan is run.
