Please note that these questions are specific for subscriptions that were purchased on Symantec Business Website (eCommerce Portal). 

 

  1. What are the key changes happening for End-Of-Life (EOL) for eCommerce Portal?

    Effective Nov. 3, 2019 8:00pm(PST), we are announcing the end-of-life (EOL) of the Symantec Business Website (eCommerce Portal). Here is a list of key changes happening:

    Ordering: Ordering on Symantec Businesss Website will be disabled from November 3, 2019 at 8:00PM onwards. Future purchases for the same product may be ordered standard RTM through a partner.
    Invoicing: Effective Nov 3, 2019 8:00pm (PST) Symantec Business Website (eCommerce Portal) customers will not receive an invoice for any pending payments.
    Service Extensions:  Symantec Business Website (eCommerce Portal) customers with an active subscriptions with a service end date between Nov 4, 2019 – Dec 31, 2019 will receive a complimentary 60 Days service extension.
    Auto-Renew: Auto-Renew feature will be disabled for all subscriptions.
    Renewal Notification:  Effective Nov 3, 2019 customer will not receive renewal notification as a reminder to renew their services.
    Future Purchases: To make future product purchases, customers will be requested to contact a support partner.
     

  2. What is the timing of the change?

    October 25th, 2019 at 10:00am, PST: Customers will receive an email notification with end-of-life (EOL) of the Symantec Business Website (eCommerce portal).
    October 25th, 2019 at 10:00am, PST: An alert message will be posted on the Symantec Business Website (eCommerce portal) with end-of-life (EOL) announcement.
    November 3rd, 2019 8:00am, PST: Symantec Business Website (eCommerce Portal) will be shut-down. This means customers will not be able to access the website to make future purchase from Nov  3rd, 2019 8:00pm (PST) onwards.
     

  3. What happens to the services associated to my subscription?

    Customers with an active subscription previously purchased via the Syamntec Business Website (eCommerce Portal) may continue to use their services till their subscription end date. There will be no service interruption for their active subscriptions.
     
  4. How will support tickets be submitted?

    For existing subscriptions, support tickets can be continued to be submitted via Support site.
     

  5. Who is impacted by the End-Of-Life(EOL) announcement of the Symantec Business Website (eCommerce Portal)?

    Customers with an active subscription previously purchased via the Symantec Business Website(eCommerce portal).
     

  6. How to make future purchases of the services previously purchased on Symantec Business Website (eCommerce portal)?

    To make future product purchases, customers will be requested to select a partner via the Partner Locator. Customers will be requested to purchase new subscriptions with these partners.
     

  7. How do I cancel subscriptions?

    Customers may choose to cancel the subscriptions within 60 days from date of purchase based on the current terms & conditions.
