Currently Symantec Endpoint Encryption 11 fully supports Bitlocker encryption and will store recovery keys for machines encrypted with Bitlocker. USB drives can be encrypted with Bitlocker "Bitlocker To Go", which is not currently supported.
Bitlocker To Go will sometimes provide an 8-bit recovery Key ID, which is not the full length Symantec Endpoint Encryption Helpdesk Recovery will support:
Although Bitlocker To Go is not supported with Symantec Endpoint Encryption, it may still store recovery data for these USB drives. There is a method to look up the full recovery key in the database with the assistance of Symantec Support, which may provide the recovery key.
A Feature Request has been logged for customers to be able to fully support Bitlocker To Go for Symantec Endpoint Encryption.
