This article outlines how to create an application connector for Facebook Workplace using SAML 2.0 in VIP Access Manager.
In order to begin configuring Workplace to use SSO it is recommended to first generate an IdP certificate specifically for this purpose. To do this, perform the following steps:
Workplace does not support direct import of the certificate. Therefore, it must be converted to PEM format using the
OpenSSL command-line utility.
OpenSSL is available for Windows, Mac, Linux, and Unix. How to install the utility is beyond the scope of this guide.
openssl pkcs12 -in cert.p12 -out cert.pem -nodes
END CERTIFICATEtags and paste it into the SAML Certificate box.
Note: The tags must also be included when copying and pasting.
Click Test SSO at the bottom of the page. This will bring up the SSO Portal in a new window. Enter credentials for a valid user.
If the test was successful the following dialog will be displayed.
At this point SSO has been configured for Workplace. Users should now be able to login to Workplace through the SSO Portal.
