Issue/Introduction

You need to back up the configuration for your installation of Symantec Mail Security for Microsoft Exchange (SMSMSE).

Resolution

You can export your configuration into an .xml file from the Symantec Mail Security for Microsoft Exchange user interface.

To export configuration settings

1. In the Symantec Mail Security for Microsoft Exchange user interface, on the File menu, click Export.
2. In the confirmation dialog box, click OK.
3. In the Select Location dialog box, browse to the location in which you want to save the .xml file, and then click OK.

You should see a message that confirms that the save was successful.
