Issue/Introduction

In some scenarios CTAgent receives unexpected error while verifying WebSocket connection to server(s) (regardless of the fact Persistent Connection is OFF/ON) and does not fall back to standard HTTP web request.

 

aex-client.log contains following debug events:

DEBG 2019-04-25 05:50:26.000     12236  140371278329600  CTA-ifetcher >
Failed to obtain the list of new task instances: 2165768211, Success
DEBG 2019-04-25 05:50:26.003     12236  140371278329600  CTA-ifetcher >
Failed to connect to task server: 2165768211,  WebSocket channel is not active

Resolution

Cumulative pointfix attached to the article.

1. Install PF using PFInstaller2.exe to Symantec Management Platform server.

2. Enable policy [Symantec Management Agent for UNIX/Linux/Mac - Upgrade]
