Cause

This is a defect.

Resolution

This issue is fixed in the v4 or later Inventory fix rollup. It can be found HERE. Steps to apply the fix are below.

1. Log onto the Symantec Management Platform (SMP) server with the Application Identity credentials
2. Extract the archive downloaded from the linked article to a folder on the SMP Server that is not the install directory for Altiris.
3. Run PFInstaller2.exe and choose to install.
4. Enable the plug-in upgrade policies for Inventory Plug-in and Application Metering.
