An exception page is a page that explains the reason for denying a user access to the requested content and list the content filtering category to which the requested URL belongs.

To enable the exception page, navigate through the following in the ProxySG Management Console:

Configuration tab > Content Filtering > General > General tab > Options > Check "Enable category review message in exceptions"

This option adds a link to the default content filter exception page when a user is denied a request for a Web Page. Typically the exception page informs the user why a URL request is denied. The message displays as "Your request was categorized by Blue Coat WebFilter as 'XXXXX'. If you wish to question or dispute this result, please click here."

When this option is enabled, the user can also click the link displayed on the exception page to request a review of the category assigned to the blocked URL, should he/she feel that the content was categorized inaccurately.
