Issue/Introduction

File scanning is not working on RPC protocol (NetApp 7G mode filer) as a hostname of the SPE Server does not appear on NetApp filer correctly.

When you run “vscan” command on 7G mode filer, the results show the single character hostname of SPE Server.  This results in authentication issue and all scan requests fail. 

The error message looks similar to CIFS: An attempt to connect to vscan server \\L failed [0xc000005e] 

Resolution

Apply the SPE_755_HF04.zip hotfix for SPE 7.5.5.
