14.3 RU9‡

‡ - Nov 11, 2024 - Windows Server 2025 support for 14.3 RU9 is for early functional compatibility with the SEP client. Minor cosmetic text issues exist with the naming of Windows Server 2025, which does not impact the protection features on the client. Full support will be available in 14.3 RU10.

***** = 8/31/2023 - 14.3 RU8 must have Microsoft Azure Code Signing (ACS) support installed before you can install or upgrade the client. Windows 10 21H2 or later and Windows 11 or later have ACS support automatically installed. Windows 8.1/Windows 2012 and later has ACS support available. Upgrading Windows client computers to 14.3 RU8 and later with Microsoft Azure Code Signing Support

**** = 9/20/2022 - 10/5/2022, 14.3RU3 and 14.3RU4 were incorrectly listed as supporting Windows 10 (22H2). This article was corrected on 10/5/2022. 14.3 RU5 was released to intended for Zero day support for 22H2.

*** = Since version 14.3 RU6, SEP no longer supports computers that run the Microsoft Windows 32-bit operating system. 32-bit computers should run the 14.3 RU5 client. More information: What's new for Symantec Endpoint Protection 14.3 RU6?

** = Windows Server 2016 support for the release indicated is basic compatibility only. For important details, see Endpoint Protection support for Windows 10 updates and Windows Server 2016.

* = Windows 10 Anniversary Update, Windows 10 Creators Update, Windows 10 Fall Creators, and Windows 10 April 2018 support for the release indicated is basic compatibility only. For important details, see Endpoint Protection support for Windows 10 updates and Windows Server 2016.

§§ = Windows 10 Anniversary Update (version 1607) includes Windows 10 Enterprise 2016 LTSB (basic compatibility only).

§ = Windows 10 (version 1507) includes Windows 10 Enterprise 2015 LTSB.

¶ = Only the client installation is supported for 14.x on desktop operating systems.

¶ = Upgrading OS with SEP installed. (In-place OS upgrade)

If you plan to upgrade your operating system, be sure to first upgrade Symantec Endpoint Protection to a version that supports the operating system. Leaving an unsupported version of

Symantec Endpoint Protection in place when you upgrade the operating system can have unexpected results.
