Symantec Web Gateway (SWG) whitelist functionality appears not to work as expected

Issue/Introduction

Policy for Content Filtering (CF) for specific type of websites has been created. After then there was a need to whitelist one specific website from the group, so the address has been added to the SWG whitelist. The expected behaviour is the connection to the website will work, but it actually fails with information that CF policy has been triggered.

Cause

Option "Bypass Whitelist for Content Filter" on Modules TAB is enabled.

Resolution

This works as designed.

As a workaround option "Bypass Whitelist for Content Filter" can be disabled or whitelisted sites can be entered as Content Filter exceptions in the Policy.
