This article contains the PGP Desktop 10.2.0 for Windows Recovery Disks for PGP Whole Disk Encryption including all Maintenance Packs (MP).

Download the PGP WDE recovery disk image for the version for your PGP Desktop.

Warning: When performing PGP Whole Disk recovery, please confirm you are using the correct recovery CD for your version of PGP Desktop.

Note that recovery disks work only with the version of PGP Desktop that created the recovery disk. For example, if you attempt to use a 9.x recovery disk to decrypt a disk protected with PGP Desktop 10.x, any data on the PGP Whole Disk Encrypted 10.x disk will be unrecoverable.

The recovery image ISO can also be found on a machine with PGP Desktop installed.  As with downloading the images, be sure to take the ISO file from a machine with the same version as the machine you are trying to recover!  The location on an installed PGP Desktop client is:

C:\Program Files\PGP Corporation\PGP Desktop\bootg.iso  (32-bit systems)

C:\Program Files (x86)\PGP Corporation\PGP Desktop\bootg.iso (64-bit systems)

Caution: Once you have started to decrypt a disk or partition using a recovery disc or diskette, do not stop the decryption process. Depending on the size of the disk being decrypted, this process can take a long time. A faster way to decrypt the drive is to use another system that has the same version of PGP Desktop installed on it.
