Issue/Introduction

While the chances are extremely low that a boot.efi file could become corrupt on a boot disk or partition protected by PGP Whole Disk Encryption, it is possible.  If this occurs, it could prevent a system from booting. Prepare for this unlikely event by creating a recovery CD before encrypting a boot disk or partition using PGP Whole Disk Encryption on a Macintosh system.

Resolution

This article includes the EFI recovery disks for a Mac OS X system which is has been encrypted using PGP Disk Whole Encryption.
