When viewing the status of backup jobs on Encryption Management Server (previously PGP Universal Server), a backup job appears unresponsive or stuck in a backing up state.
This typically happens when a backup failed for some reason, and the status does not get updated properly in the database.
Access the server with SSH via Putty and run the following to confirm a backup is actually running or not:
ps aux |grep backup
If there are no services returned, then the backup is not running any longer.
Contact support for help in updating the status as this is a UI issue.
