Standby Edge or link in Enhanced HA deployment goes up and down

Issue/Introduction

SD WAN Edges in Enhanced HA deployments might see the following issues:

• HA going up and down due to heartbeats missing from peer.
• Standby unit restarts its services multiple times per day
• Links in stand by unit going down and back up multiple times per day
• Unexpected HA failovers 

Environment

• VMware SD-WAN by VeloCloud
• VMware SD-WAN

Cause

Issue is caused by issue ID: 103662
HA site experiences an Active/Active (Split-Brain) state that SD-WAN corrects by rebooting the Standby Edge.

Resolution

The fix is included in SASE SD-WAN Edge software release 5.0.1.5 (R5015-20230922-GA) or above

The workaround applied by support and the upgrade to the fixed release will cause brief downtime
