Issue/Introduction

The purpose of this article is to troubleshoot and fix connectivity issue from vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager to vRealize Subscription Manager in VMware Cloud Organization.

Symptoms:
While connecting a vRealize Cloud Subscription license from vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager to vRealize Subscription Manager, the process fails, you see error message similar to:

Error: Something went wrong while connecting the vRealize Cloud Subscription license to a VMware Cloud Organization. Try again later

Note: This issue affects vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager 8.4.0GA & 8.4.1GA.

Environment

VMware vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager 8.4.x

Resolution

VMware is aware of this issue.
Currently, there is no resolution.

Workaround:
To workaround this issue:
  1. SSH to vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager console as root user.
  2. Download the attached script update-csp-api-url.py file in the KB and copy the file to vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager appliance (preferably in any folder under '/data/').
  3. Run the update-csp-api-url.py script using the following commands in sequence:
    cd <downloaded-script-file-path>
    sudo chmod +x update-csp-api-url.py
    python update-csp-api-url.py
  4. Retry connecting the vRealize Cloud Subscription license from vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager to vRealize Subscription Manager from locker.
