Disclaimer:  The VMware SDDC 5.0 on SAIC SDI is developed and supported by SAIC. You must obtain the solution and support from SAIC.

Here is a brief summary of target use cases, solution architecture, hardware and software components (including name and version), solution capabilities. For additional information see:

Use Cases
The VMware SDDC 5.0  on SAIC solution provides a completely configured VMware Software Defined Data Center (SDDC) built to a standardized format and architecture. This provides a private cloud which can be quickly scaled up (or down) and allows existing VMware virtualized data center clients to extend or move their workloads into the Public Cloud. This enables companies to address such issues as rapid capacity expansion (and contraction when not needed), migration of workloads to the cloud, establishing cloud based backup and disaster scenarios, and the ability to set up development, test, training or lab capacity. All by exploiting the operational benefits and agility of Public Cloud with the ability to expand or contract the environment to meet the business needs. In fact, additional servers can be added simply and quickly to meet increased capacity of over 10,000 sized virtual guest servers per dual region.

Solution Capabilities

The VMware SDDC 5.0 on SAIC offering provides the basic building blocks for a highly scalable and automated SDDC that can be easily integrated with on-premises and public clouds based on the VMware platform.
Preconfigured Cloud building blocks that include several bare metal servers and associated VMware stack provide a starting point for scalability, automation and seamless integration to hybrid cloud.   This provides short time to value and cost effective implementation using best practices.
SAIC provided open patterns can then be used to rapidly deploy advanced applications into this environment.

Support Information

The VMware Ready Certified Partner Architecture program certifies partner solution architecture based its compliance to VMware Validated Design IT Automation Cloud 5.0.  For more information on the VMware Validated Designs, please see This certification agreement is between VMware and the certified partner for a specific solution architecture only.  The partner solution architecture referenced in this article is developed and supported by a partner.  It is partner’s responsibility to ensure that the solution architecture is deployed on VMware supported hardware and align hardware with VMware Compatibility Guide (vCG) or custom VMware support agreement (RPQ).
For additional information see: SAIC Software-Defined Intrastruction (SDI).

Additional Information

The partner in conjunction with the customer is responsible for aligning hardware deployments with VMware Compatibility Guide (VCG).
