Symptoms:
Deploying vSphere Replication 6.5.x fails with Error: "The operation failed for an undetermined reason. Typically the problem occurs due to certificates that the browser does not trust."

Environment

VMware vSphere Replication 6.5.x

Resolution

In order to resolve this issue, follow the below steps.

1.  Logout of the vCenter Web-Client
2.  Open a new browser and input the FQDN of the vCenter (Ex: https://vcenter.vsphere.local)
3.  Accept the untrusted certificate warning in the browser
4.  In the vCenter startup page, click on the link - "Download trusted root CA certificates"
5.  Save the zip bundle and extract it.
6.  Double click each certificate in the extracted folder and install it into the local computer "Trusted Root Certification Authorities" location
7.  Once done close the browser and proceed to login to vCenter Web-Client with FQDN to launch flash client (Ex: https://vcenter.vsphere.local)
8.  Start the vSphere Replication OVF deployment.
