• vCenter Server Appliance fails to boot with an error similar to:

Failed to start network service

Environment

6.5.x
6.7.x

Resolution

1. From Emergency shell, Enter root credentials to proceed with next steps.
2. Run the following command to perform a consistency check.
   • fsck -fy /dev/mapper/log_vg-log
3. Reboot vCenter Server Appliance.
