Windows 10 virtual machines configured with the maximum supported virtual RAM and the maximum number of virtual CPUs on ESXi 5.5 or 6.0 hosts might take up to 40 minutes to boot.

Environment

• VMware vCenter Server 5.5.x
• VMware vSphere ESXi 6.0
• VMware vSphere ESXi 5.5
• VMware vCenter Server 6.0.x

Resolution

Upgrade ESXi 6.0 hosts to ESXi 6.0 patch 1 (Build Number 2809209).
