This check verifies if the vSAN controller is certified by VMware against the current installed ESXi version.
The current ESXi release is not certified by VMware or HCL DB is not up-to-date. For the second case, please refer to the health check result of vSAN HCL DB up-to-date.
Notes: If the health check is empty, it may be caused by 'vSAN HCL DB up-to-date' or 'SCSI controller is VMware certified' check not being green. Please address the warning of those two health checks first.
For more information on how to query the make, model, and version of your storage I/O controller, see vSAN Monitoring and Troubleshooting. If you still have difficulty determining storage I/O controller information, contact VMware Support to assess the situation fully. Do not simply rely on the automated health checks. VMware Support will also assist with any mitigation steps. For more information, see Creating and managing Broadcom support cases
